The S90 PHEV is equipped with a lithium ternary power battery with a capacity of 11.6 kilowatt-hours, which has the function of liquid cooling and heat dissipation/preheating. The electric control system carried by S90 PHEV integrates the motor control module, DCDC, PDU and other high-voltage control subsystems, and shares a set of heat dissipation system with the engine, front ISG motor and rear drive motor.
The S90 PHEV is one of the very few joint venture vehicles currently on sale in China with the technology of "oil-electric hybrid four-drive technology", with a maximum output power of 300 kW and a maximum output torque of 640 Nm. It is commendable that the maximum output power of the high-power 2.0T engine carried by the S90 PHEV is 235 kW, which is far more than the total power of the front ISG motor (34 kW) and the rear drive motor (65 kW). This means that when the load capacity of the power battery is at a low point, it is still in the power output state of "big horse pulling small car".
Of course, the front power assembly is composed of 2.0T and ISG motors, and the rear power assembly is composed of a drive motor with a maximum output power of 65 kW. Even in the "full power" state, it belongs to the four-wheel drive system that is biased towards the front drive setting. However, the ISG motor with the maximum output power of 34 kW can be used for power "holding" and can also improve the power of "driving charging".
Compared with the rear wheel drive Bayer 530 Le and the X1PHEV with the same "hybrid electric four-wheel drive" architecture, the Regal S90 PHEV has balanced comprehensive efficiency, including power performance, four-wheel drive system and charging efficiency. What cannot be ignored is that the "hard power" of the platform, material and training of traditional automobile manufacturers is continuously demonstrated on the S90 PHEV.
